DAX Futures Update : 20 Sept. 2022

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,913.0 up with +0.52% percent +67.0 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,328.20 up with +0.79% percent or +57.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,096.20 up with +0.17% percent or +10.40 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,522.00 up with +0.20% percent or +7.00 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The annual producer inflation in Germany rose to a new record high of 45.8% in August of 2022 from 37.2% a month earlier and above market forecasts of 37.1%. Energy prices remained the biggest upward contributor (139.0% vs 105.0% in July), namely the distribution of natural gas (209.4%) and electricity (174.9%). Excluding energy, producer prices climbed 14.0% from a year earlier. Other significant price increases were seen for intermediate goods (17.5%), particularly metals (19.9%), fertilizers and nitrogen compounds (108.8 %), and cereal flour (46.4%); non-durable consumer goods (16.9%), such as food (22.3%); and durable consumer goods (10.9%); and capital goods (78%), mainly led by machinery and vehicles. On a monthly basis, producer prices were up 7.9%, also the most on record, after a 5.3% rise in July and way higher than consensus of a 1.6% gain.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,927.32 with  0.97% percent or +124.08  point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,294.14 up with +0.79% percent or +40.49 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 6,114.48  with 0.87% percent or +52.89   point.

For the day the Dow is trading at 30,822.42 with a loss of  -0.45% percent or ?139.40  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,873.33 with a loss of –0.72% percent or -28.02 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 11,448.40 with a loss of –0.90% percent or -103.95  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,567.65 with a loss of –1.11% percent or -308.26  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 18,610.74 with  a loss of –0.80% percent or ?150.95  point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,114.54 with a loss of –0.38% percent or -11.85 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 59,219.50  up with +0.64% percent or +378.71  point at 12:15 PM.
