DAX-Index

Frankfurt’s DAX 40 increased by 0.4% to approximately 25,460 on Friday, following two successive sessions of declines, even amid persistent worries regarding inflation, the likelihood of additional rate hikes, and geopolitical tensions.

A modest decline in oil prices offered some respite for energy-intensive industrials, even as prices continued to stay high. Aerospace and defence stocks, insurers, and technology stocks exhibited notable gains, counterbalancing the declines observed in software, automotive, and chemical sectors.

Siemens Energy topped the list of stock gains, increasing by 1.8%. It was closely followed by GEA Group, Airbus, Siemens, Munchener Ruck, and MTU Aero Engines, all of which recorded gains exceeding 1%. For the week, the index was set to experience a decline exceeding 2%, marking its most significant loss since April.
