German stocks experienced a significant increase on Monday, driven by declining oil prices and the commitment from German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to advance reforms. Oil prices experienced a significant decline amid optimism regarding potential diplomatic advancements concerning the Middle East during this week’s UN meeting. Ahead of a crucial meeting between U.S. President Trump and Gulf-state leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Trump cautioned Iran that it would encounter economic failure or risk the eradication of its leadership if it did not reach an agreement.

Trump suggested the possibility of a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in New York, noting that significant developments could occur soon and that he is currently in a “deciding mode” regarding military action, ongoing economic pressure, or a potential agreement. Brent crude futures declined to 101.19, reflecting a decrease of over 2.5%. The benchmark DAX increased by 280.35 points, reflecting a rise of 1.11%, reaching 25,576.79 shortly after noon.
