DAX Futures Update : 21 April. 2022

The DAX Futures is trading at 14,406.50 with +0.27% percent  +38.50 point. The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,610.00 up with +0.30% percent or +22.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,529.50 up with +1.25% percent or +80.50 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,830.00 up with +0.39% percent or +15.00 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Annual producer inflation in Germany jumped to 30.9% in March of 2022, breaking a fresh record high for a 4th straight month and much higher than 25.9% in February and forecasts of 28.2%. The figures reflect the effects of the war in Ukraine for the first time, with energy prices remaining the biggest upward contributor (83.8%), namely distribution of natural gas (144.8%), electricity (85.1%), mineral oil products (61.3%). Excluding energy, producer prices increased 14% yoy. Other significant price increases were seen for intermediate goods (23.3%), namely metals (39.7%), fertilisers and nitrogen compounds (+87.2 %), wooden containers (68.8%); and non-durable consumer goods (9.6%), namely food (12.2%); and capital goods (5.8%, the biggest increase since 1975). Compared to the previous month, producer prices increased 4.9%.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 14,362.03with 1.47% percent or +208.57 point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,629.22 up with +0.37% percent or +27.94   point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 6,624.91 up with +1.38% percent or +90.12 point.

For the day the Dow is trading at 35,160.79 up with 0.71% percent or +249.59 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,459.45 up with +0.062% percent or -2.76 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 13,453.06 up with +1.22% percent or ?166.59  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,553.06 with 1.23% percent or +335.21  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 20,575.22 with a loss of –1.76%percent or -369.45 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,096.43 with a loss of –1.73% percent or -54.62  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 57,761.49 up with +1.27% percent or +723.99  point at 12:15 PM.
