The DAX Futures is trading at 14,150.50 with a loss of -0.62% percent  -87.80 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,587.80 with a loss of -0.35% percent or -26.40 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,450.50 with +0.00% percent or +0.00 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,740.00 with a loss of -0.64% percent or -24.00 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The yield on the German 10-year Bund rose past 0.7%, closing in on a nearly 4-year high of 0.74% hit on March 29th, as bets for a 60 basis points of rate hikes from the ECB by year-end rose after the ECB minutes showed a large number of policymakers wanted an immediate normalisation of policy due to the current high level of inflation and its persistence. Flash estimates showed the headline HICP rate in the Eurozone surged again in March, reaching a new all-time high of 7.5% year-on-year compared to 5.9% in February and well above market expectations of 6.6%. Elsewhere, the latest FOMC minutes showed the Federal Reserve plans to make a quick reduction in its balance sheet and many officials viewed one of more half-point increases in the fed funds rate appropriate going forward if price pressures remain.
