The DAX 40 exhibited minimal fluctuations around 26,440 on Monday, maintaining proximity to its record highs, primarily driven by advancements in the technology sector, as focus persisted on geopolitical developments. Meanwhile, investors have been recalibrating their expectations regarding US interest rates in light of a succession of economic data that has fallen short of forecasts.
Infineon Technologies emerged as the top performer, increasing by 2.1%, while AI-related firms Siemens Energy and Hochtief saw gains of 1.8% and 1.1%, respectively.
Rheinmetall increased by 1.3%, while RWE saw a rise of 0.9%. On the downside, Scout24 recorded a decline of 2%, followed by Zalando with a decrease of 1.6%, and Beiersdorf, which fell by 1.2%.
