The DAX Futures is trading at 15,939.00 with a loss of -0.05% or -8.50 point. The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,248.00 with a loss of -0.09% percent or -6.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is tradingat 6,925.00 with +0.52% percent or +35.50 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 4,286.00 with -0.05% percent or -2.00 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

European stock futures pointed slightly lower on Wednesday, as traders adjusted portfolios ahead of the US Fed’s monetary policy meeting, where a tapering announcement is broadly expected but uncertainty remains over how hawkish policymakers will be. On the second stage, another round of quarterly results is ready to be digested, namely Suez, BMW, Lufthansa, and Intesa Sanpaolo, among other firms, reporting this session, as well as key unemployment and business climate figures from the Eurozone. The German automaker BMW surprised traders with its Q3 earnings before tax, reporting €2.9 billions against forecasts of €2.5 billion, underpinned by higher selling prices and the prioritizing of sales of its most lucrative models.

For the day the Dow is trading at 36,052.63 up with +0.39% percent or +138.79   point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,630.65  up with +0.37% percent or +16.98 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 15,649.60  up with +0.34% percent or +53.69  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 29,520.90 with a loss of –0.43% percent or  –0.43%  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,935.77 with a loss of –0.65% percent or +79.51 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,498.94 with a loss of –0.19% percent or –6.69 point.
