There were declines in cost of petroleum products (-17.1 percent), used and residual materials (-4.5 percent), live animals (-13.4 percent), iron ores, iron, steel, ferrous products (-2.6 percent, information, computers, equipment, software (-4.5 percent), communication equipment (-4.1 percent), and audio and video equipment (-1.6 percent). By contrast, prices rose for food, beverages and tobacco (1.8 percent), watches and jewellery (3.2 percent). On a monthly basis, wholesale prices were unchanged in September, following a 0.4 percent fall in August.
