DAX Futures Morning Update on 09 April.

The DAX Futures is trading at 10,447.00 up with +0.56% or +58.50 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 5,723.50  up with +1.51% percent or +85.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 4,483.50 up with +0.95% percent or +42.00 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 2,842.00 up with +1.14% percent or +32.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The recent run off the March low hasn’t been without its bumps, but so far it is has resulted in a material set of gains of over 20%. However, given the damage in place it’s only a small start to fixing a larger problem. Expect there to be further set-backs even if the market is to continue to trade higher. If the turn hasn’t already begun as of yesterday, it could come relatively soon.

Like the US indices, the March 12 gap was filled yesterday, which was the first target on the top-side to watch as a potential spot for U.S. indices and the DAX to turn lower from. Should yesterday’s high at 10590 get broken, then there are some more levels to watch starting around 11000, created by gaps and the trend-line from 2011. That would still be quite a move from here, and if those lofty levels are seen then it seems as though that would be about the max the market could squeeze out before another swoon developed.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 10,332.89 with a loss of -0.23% percent or –23.81   point.the FTSE 100 closed at 5,677.73 with a loss of –0.47%percent or –26.72 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 4,442.75 up with +0.10% percent or +4.49 point.

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 23,433.57 up with +3.44% percent or +779.71  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,749.98 up with +3.41% percent or +90.57 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,090.90 up with +2.58% percent or +203.64  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 19,345.77 with a loss of –0.039% percent or –7.47 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,147.99 up with  +0.74%  percent or +177.62  point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,830.25 up with +0.53% percent or +14.88  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 30,866.28 up with  +3.25% percent or +972.32 point at 12:15 PM.
