The DAX Futures is trading at 12,029.00  with a loss of -0.31% percent or -38.00 point. The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,155.80  with a loss of -0.13% percent or -9.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,493.00  with a loss of -0.49% percent or -27.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,444.00  with a loss of -0.23% percent or -8.00 point.


It was yet another bearish day for the auto sector, with Continental sliding by 2.65%. Daimler (-0.89%), BMW (-0.21%), and Volkswagen (-0.01%) also saw red.

Bank stocks also struggled on the day, with Deutsche Bank sliding by  1.18%. Commerzbank fell by a more modest 0.5%

From the CAC, it was a bullish day for the banks. BNP Paribas led the way, rising by 0.78%. Credit Agricole and Soc Gen saw more modest gains of 0.71% and 0.51% respectively. For the autos, Renault rose by 0.28%, with Peugeot ending the day up by 0.32%.


For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,048.89 with a loss of -0.40% percent or -48.54  point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,188.65 with a loss of –0.13% percent or –9.23 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,506.70 with a loss of –0.27% percent or –14.91 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 26,478.02 with a loss of –0.36% percent or  –95.70  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,938.79  with a loss of –0.45% percent or ?13.22 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,956.29  with a loss of –0.33% percent or ?26.18 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,587.78 up with +0.99% percent or  +212.53 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,894.49 up with +0.28% percent or +73.46 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,913.57 up with +0.29% percent or +8.38 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,531.98 with a loss of –0.38% percent or  –141.33  point at 12:15 PM.
