This stability was bolstered by technology stocks, following Nvidia’s robust sales forecast, which has fostered a sense of optimism regarding sustained investment in AI technologies. Meanwhile, investors have opted to hold back on increasing their positions in anticipation of the Jackson Hole central bankers’ symposium, commencing today, where Fed Chair Kevin Warsh is set to deliver remarks on Friday.

Markets are in search of additional clarity regarding the trajectory of monetary policy, especially in light of recent data indicating that inflation remains significantly above the central bank’s 2% target. In the interim, attention remained fixed on the situation in the Middle East. Infineon Technologies and Siemens Energy emerged as the leading performers, each experiencing an increase exceeding 2%.

SAP shares experienced an increase of more than 1% following a lacklustre performance on the preceding day. Rheinmetall experienced an increase of 1.2%. On the downside, Heidelberg Materials, Deutsche Telekom, Qiagen NV, MTU Aero Engines, and Henkel were among the biggest laggards, experiencing declines ranging from 1% to 1.7%.
