DAX Futures Updates

Following the most recent escalation between the United States and Iran over the weekend, geopolitical tensions resurfaced, causing the DAX 40 to slightly decline toward the 25,000 mark on Monday. Recent hostilities have interrupted traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, leading to an increase in oil prices and heightening worries about renewed inflationary pressures and the potential for additional monetary tightening.

Investors exhibited a degree of caution in anticipation of forthcoming earnings reports from prominent US banking institutions. Simultaneously, the technology sector encountered increased pressure. Infineon Technologies experienced the most significant decline among stocks, falling by more than 2%.

Shares of construction company Hochtief and energy technology group Siemens Energy, both beneficiaries of the artificial intelligence boom, experienced declines of 1.8% and 0.3%, respectively.
