TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
Germany’s current account surplus widened to EUR 22.5 billion in June of 2021 from EUR 20.3 billion in the same month last year. The goods surplus rose to EUR 16.2 billion from EUR 14.8 billion a year ago and the primary income surplus advanced to EUR 8.6 billion from EUR 4.2 billion. Meantime, the services surplus narrowed to ERU 0.5 billion from EUR 2.4 billion and the secondary income deficit increased to EUR 2.9 billion from EUR 1.2 billion. Considering the first half of the year, the current account surplus widened to EUR 101.6 billion from EUR 80 billion in the same period of 2020
