DAX Futures Morning Update on 23 Jan. 2020

The DAX Futures is trading at 13,457.50 with a loss of -0.03% percent or -4.20 point. The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,493.50 with  a loss of -0.13% percent or -9.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,981.50 with  a loss of -0.25% percent or -15.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,748.00 with a loss of -0.11% percent or -4.00 point.


It was another bearish day for the auto sector. Daimler tumbled by 2.23% to lead the way, with Volkswagen falling by 1.07%. BMW and Continental saw more modest losses of 0.45% and 0.50% respectively.

It was another mixed day for the banks, however, with Commerzbank falling by 0.16%, while Deutsche Bank gained 1.44% on the day.

From the CAC, it was a bearish day for the banks. BNP Paribas fell by 0.26%, with Credit Agricole and Soc Gen down by 1.06% and by 0.35% respectively.

The French auto sector also saw red, with Peugeot and Renault falling by 0.49% and by 0.84% respectively.


For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 13,515.75 with a loss of  –0.30% percent or ?40.12  point the FTSE 100 closed at 7,571.92 with a loss of –0.51% percent or –38.78  point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 6,010.98 with a loss of –0.58% percent or –35.00 point..


For the day the Dow is trading at 29,186.27 with a loss of –0.033% percent or –9.77  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,321.75 up with +0.029% percent or +0.96 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,383.77 up with +0.14% percent or  +12.96 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 23,795.44 with a loss of –0.98% percent or –235.91   point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,811.66 with a loss of –1.87% percent or –529.38  point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,976.53 with a loss of –2.75% percent or –84.23 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 41,326.53 up with +0.51% percent or +211.15 point at 12:15 PM.
