DAX Futures Morning Update on 17 October 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,640.80 with a loss of -0.19% percent or -24.10 point. The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,160.20  up with +0.17% percent or +12.20 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,683.50 with  a loss of -0.23% percent or -13.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,584.00  with 0.00% percent or 0.00 point.


For the DAX: Autos found strong support once more, with Volkswagen leading the way, rallying by 2.47%. Daimler was also amongst the best performers on the DAX, rallying by 1.42%. BMW and Continental weren’t far behind, both rising by 0.9%.

Bank stocks also found further support. Deutsche Bank rose by 0.7%, while Commerzbank rallied by 1.48%

From the CAC, it was also a bullish day for the banks. Credit Agricole led the way, rising by 1.97%. BNP Paribas and Soc saw more modest gains of 0.45% and 0.89% respectively. For the autos, it was also positive with Renault rising by 1.14%, while Peugeot gained 1.15%.


For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,670.11 up with +0.32% percent or +40.32   point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,167.95 with a loss of  –0.61% percent or –43.69 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,696.90 with  a loss of –0.090% percent or –5.14 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 27,001.98 with a loss of –0.084% percent or  –22.82  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,989.69  with a loss  –0.20% percent or –5.99 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,124.18  with a loss of –0.30% percent or –24.52 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,451.86 with a loss of –0.094% percent or –21.06 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,789.32 up with +0.47% percent or +125.04 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,975.18 with a loss of –0.12% percent or –3.54  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 38,662.21 up with +0.16% percent or +63.22 point at 12:15 PM.
