DAX Futures Morning Update on 11 October 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,225.00  up with  +0.30% percent or +36.70 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,134.20  with a loss of -0.54% percent or -38.80 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,584.50 with +0.30% percent or +16.50 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,496.00 up with +0.52% percent or +18.00 point.


For the DAX: There was further support for the auto sector, with Volkswagen rallying by 2.56% to lead the way. Daimler and BMW weren’t far behind, with gains of 1.92% and 1.09% respectively. Continental trailed with a 0.34% gain. While trade data was negative for the sector, positive updates on trade talks delivered the boost.

Bank stocks also found support, with Deutsche Bank rallying by 2.41% and Commerzbank by 3.85%

From the CAC, it was also a positive day for the banks. Soc Gen led the way, rallying by 3.32%. BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole weren’t far behind, with gains of 2.82% and 2.34% respectively. For the autos, Renault rose by 0.59%, while Peugeot surged by 3.48%.

LVMH led the way on the day, with a 5.56% gain, supported by strong 3rd quarter earnings results.


For the dayGermany’s DAX closed at 12,164.20  up with +0.58% percent or +69.94  point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,165.68 with a loss of -0.29% percent or –20.68 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,569.05 up with +1.27% percent or +69.91 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 26,496.67 up with +0.57% percent or  +181.97  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,938.13 up with +0.64% percent or +18.73 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,950.78 up with +0.60% percent or +47.04 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,798.87 up with +1.15% percent or +246.89 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,313.84 up with +2.36% percent or  +605.91 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,973.66 up with +0.88% percent or +25.95 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,967.01 up with 0.23% percent or +86.61  point at 12:15 PM.
