DAX Futures Morning Update on 16 August 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 11,522.50 up with +0.99% percent or +112.50 point. The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,101.80  up with +0.77% percent or +54.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,276.50  up with +0.75% percent or +39.50 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,314.00 up with +1.10% percent or +36.00 point.


trade wars look to dominate the headlines, Germany will look to provide insight on another major theme – economic growth. While the two themes are directly related, global growth concerns have receded from the headlines somewhat. An abysmal GDP reading from Germany, or the Eurozone altogether, could reignite those fears.

a rising tide floats all boats, and the delayed tariffs out of the United States act as such a tide. Thus, the influence previously afforded to the CPI and GDP readings may lose some of their sway as traders remain enamored with the updated trade war landscape.  for updates and analysis on these themes as they progress and what it means for equity markets.


For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 11,526.67 up with 1.00% percent or +114.00 point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,067.01 with 0.00% percent or 0.00 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,273.84  up with +0.70% percent or +36.92 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 25,579.39 up with +0.39% percent or  +99.97 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,847.60 up with +0.25% percent or +7.00 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,766.62   with a loss of -0.094% percent or -7.32 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,418.81 up with +0.064% percent or +13.16 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,740.68 up with +0.96% percent or +245.22 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,823.82  up with +0.29% percent or +8.03 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,343.95 up with +0.087% percent or +32.42 point at 12:15 PM.
