DAX Futures Morning Update on 21 June 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,378.00  up with +0.13% percent or +16.50 point. The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,380.00  with a loss of -0.73% percent or -54.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,560.24 up with +0.45% percent or +24.68 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,474.00 up with +0.35% percent or +12.00 point.


Today’s economic calendar includes the 52-Week Bill Settlement, Jobless Claims 8:30 AM ET, Philadelphia Fed Business Outlook Survey 8:30 AM ET, Current Account 8:30 AM ET, Leading Indicators 10:00 AM ET, EIA Natural Gas Report 10:30 AM ET, Fed Balance Sheet & Money Supply 4:30 PM ET.

The news headline algo’s were ready and waiting, and the initial knee jerk reaction to the FED’s decision to curb interest rate hikes until 2020 took the ESU down through the Globex low at 2921.75, to a new low at 2915.25. The futures recovered immediately, and popped back up through the opening range, to a new high at 2935.25, in a matter of seconds.


For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,385.10  with +0.24% percent or +0.24% point. the FTSE 100 closed at 7,454.65  up with +0.41% percent or +30.21 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,558.63 up  with +0.42% percent or +23.07 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 26,753.17 up with +0.94% percent or +249.17 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,954.18 up with +0.95% percent or +27.72 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,051.34   up with +0.80% percent or +64.02 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,258.64 with a loss of -0.95% percent or -204.22 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,473.71  with a loss of -0.27% percent or -76.72    point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,001.98 up with +0.50% percent or +14.86  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,258.37 with a loss of -0.87% percent or -343.26 point at 12:15 PM.
