DAX Futures Morning Update on 05 July

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,307.50 up with +0.02% percent or +2.50 point . The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,517.00  up with +0.13% percent or +9.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,320.50 up with +0.070% percent or +3.74 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,405.00 up with +0.09% percent or +3.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Chancellor Angela Merkel is working overtime to save her coalition, and the latest crisis she is facing is over migration policy. Interior Minister Horst Seehofer had threatened to resign over the migration agreement that EU leaders reached in Brussels last week, but has decided to remain in the government. Merkel’s proposal involves setting up special transit centers at the border with Austria and having refugees return to EU countries were they had first registered, but Austria has expressed concern with the plan. The EU remains split on migration policy, and if Germany’s political crisis continues, European equity markets could fall.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,317.61 with a loss of -0.26% percent or -31.53 point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,573.09 with a loss of  -0.27% percent or  -20.20 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,320.50  up with +0.070% percent or +3.74 point.

For the day the Dow is trading at 24,174.82 with  a loss of -0.54% percent or  -132.36 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,713.22  with a loss of -0.49% percent or -13.49 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,502.67 with  a loss of -0.86% percent or -65.01 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,546.99 with a loss of -0.78% percent or -170.05 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,933.90 with a loss of -1.09% percent or -307.77 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,731.43 with a loss of -1.00% percent or -27.70 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,563.48  with  a loss of -0.23% percent or  -81.92 point at 12:15 PM.
