The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 6,970.80 with +0.61% percent or +42.30 point.The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,097.80 up with +0.91% percent or +54.80 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,474.00 with +0.96% percent or +33.00 point.
TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
Germany’s 10-year government bond yield dropped further by over 10 bps to 2.2% Monday, and was set for its biggest daily fall since October 3rd, taking cues from British gilts. UK finance minister Jeremy Hunt announced he would reverse almost all tax measures announced in the UK government’s mini-budget three weeks ago, a move that will end up raising £32 billion a year. Elsewhere, traders have digested remarks from several European Central Bank policymakers. Bundesbank President Nagel and Dutch central bank chief Knot both said that quantitative tightening should start soon, a week after President Lagarde confirmed that the ECB was discussing reverting quantitative easing. Meanwhile, Vice-President de Guindos said last week that the central bank is prepared for a possible technical recession paired with high inflation. The yield has hit 2.423% last week, its highest since August 2011, on inflation risks and increasing bond supply.
