DAX Futures Update : 16 August. 2022

The DAX Futures is trading at 13,868.5 with +0.46% percent +63.5 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,518.50 with +0.42% percent or +31.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,586.00 up with +0.23% percent or +15.00 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,800.00 with +0.37% percent or +14.00 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The yield on the German 10-year Bund hovered around the 0.9% level, edging lower from the three-week high of 1% and tracking worldwide government debt as a slew of concerning economic data from China highlighted worries of a global economic slowdown. Domestically, Germany’s federal network agency said that the country needs to cut 20% of its natural gas usage to avoid rationing in the winter. Decline in economic activity amid emergency measures to slash energy usage compounded recession concerns in Europe, with recent PMI data pointing to a contraction in private sector activity in July and retail sales unexpectedly declining in June. On the monetary policy front, markets expected another 50bps hike by the ECB in September, which would extend the central bank’s July decision by the same magnitude.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 28,879.36 with +0.026% percent or +7.58  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 19,920.00 with a loss of –0.60% ercent or ?120.86  point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,282.14 up with +0.18% percent or +6.06  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 59,747.49 up with +0.48% percent or +284.71  point at 12:15 PM.
