The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,037.50 with a loss of -0.64% percent or -39.00 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,513.00 with -0.62% percent or -22.00 point.
TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS
The yield on the German 10-year Bund rose to above 1.65%, approaching an 8-1/2-year high of 1.926% hit on June 16th after ECB Chief Lagarde reaffirmed the central bank would raise policy rates by 25bps in July, the first hike in 11 years while preparing a new anti-fragmentation tool to help tighten widening spreads among countries such as Italy and Spain where bond yields soared since the central bank took a more hawkish stance in June. Meanwhile, investors await preliminary inflation prints for major Euro Area countries this week, with price growth across the 19 countries sharing the euro set to hit another record high of 8.3% in June.
