Dax Futures Update : 02 August 2021

The DAX Futures is trading at 15,611.00 up with +0.44% or +69.00 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 6,996.50 up with +0.52% percent or +36.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,617.50 with a loss of -0.20% percent or -13.50 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 4,108.00 up with +0.50% percent or +20.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Retail sales in Germany jumped 4.2% mom in June of 2021, following an upwardly revised 4.6% surge in May and much better than market forecasts of 2%, due to the continuing decline of the coronavirus incidence in all of Germany and, consequently, the easing of restrictions. Main increases were seen in sales of non-food, namely textiles, clothing and footwear (70.5%) while sales of food, beverages and tobacco went down (-3.9%). Compared to February 2020, the month before the coronavirus crisis, sales increased 9.1%.
