DAX Futures Morning Update on 12 June 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,113.00   with a loss of -0.31% percent or -37.50 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,366.30  with a loss of -0.42% percent or -30.70 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,408.45  up with +0.48% percent or +25.96 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,388.00  with a loss of -0.18% percent or -6.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

There were fears that President Trump would slap Mexico with new tariffs, opening up another trade war front. The tariffs were set to take effect on Monday, but the U.S. suspended the tariffs after high-level talks helped defuse the latest crisis. As well, G-20 finance ministers agreed on a joint communique to reduce trade tensions. With President Trump and President Xi of China meeting at the G-20 summit in Japan in late June, we could see progress in the bitter trade dispute between the world’s two largest economies. On the DAX, bank and automaker listings are sharply higher on Tuesday. Deutsche Bank (DE:DBKGn) is up 2.67%. BMW has gained 2.67%, Daimler is up 1.87% and Volkswagen (DE:VOWG_p) has climbed 1.92%.

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,048.51 with a loss of -0.054% percent or -14.17 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,885.72 with a loss of -0.035% percent or -1.01 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,822.57   with a loss of -0.0077% percent or -0.60 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,129.72 with a loss of -0.35% percent or -74.56 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,297.48  with a loss of -1.77% percent or -491.86   point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,909.38  with a loss of -0.56% percent or -16.34  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,725.02  with a loss of -0.56% percent or -225.44 point at 12:15 PM.
