DAX Futures Morning Update on 22 May 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,128.80  with a loss of -0.19% percent or -22.60 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,335.30  up with +0.31% percent or +22.80 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,329.00  with a loss of -0.08% percent or -4.00 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,364.00  with a loss of -0.18% percent or -6.00 point.


“May knows that this is likely to be her final attempt to get a deal across the line, and with Brexiteers jostling for her position, there will be many who know that the Brexit process could well shift radically towards a harder form of Brexit if she loses,” said IG’s Josh Mahony.

“Thus the reaction of the pound in the wake of today’s speech will likely reflect the perception of whether the deal could possibly grab enough Labour votes as much as the Tories.”

More broadly, investors were cheering news that the Trump administration has issued a licence allowing US companies to keep doing business with Huawei over the next three months.


For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,143.47  up with +0.85% percent or +102.18  point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,328.92 up with +0.25% percent or +18.04 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,385.46 up with +0.50% percent or +26.88 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 25,877.33 up with +0.77% percent or +197.43  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,864.36 up with +0.85% percent or +24.13 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,785.72 up with +1.08% percent or +83.35 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,283.37 up with +0.051% percent or +10.92 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,699.59 up with +0.15% percent or +42.35   point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,890.28   with a loss of -0.54% percent or -15.69 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,063.64 up with +0.24% percent or +93.84 point at 12:15 PM.
