DAX Futures Morning Update on 12 October

The DAX Futures is trading at 11,680.50  up with +1.22% percent or +141.00 point .The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,031.50 up with +0.75% percent or +52.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,171.00  up with +1.49% percent or +76.00 point .  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,225.00  up with +1.25%  percent or +40.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

the index is at 11,533, down 1.53% since the Wednesday close. In economic news, the ECB will release the accounts of the August policy meeting. Later in the day, the U.S Treasury publishes its semi-annual currency report.

Down, down and down. The downward spiral in global stock markets has turned into a bloodbath, with some European shares falling to 20-month lows. This is the DAX’s lowest level since February 2017. The DAX posted heavy losses overnight, as Asian markets dropped sharply, and has fallen 4.2% this week. The decline is apparent in all sectors, with all but a handful of companies in the red on Thursday.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 11,539.35  with a loss of  -1.48% percent or -173.15 point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,006.93  with a loss of -1.94% percent or  -138.81 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,106.37  with a loss of -1.92% percent or  -99.84 point. 

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 25,052.83  with a loss of -2.13% percent or -545.91 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,728.37 with  a loss of -2.06% percent or -57.31 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,329.06  with a loss of  -1.25% percent or -92.99 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,694.66 with +0.46% percent or +103.80 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 25,711.91   up with +1.76% percent or +445.54 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,607.49  up with +0.93% percent or +24.04 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 34,692.41  up with +2.03% percent or  +691.26 point at 12:15 PM.
