DAX Futures Morning Update on 13 August

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,351.00 with a loss of -0.49% percent or -60.50 point .The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,611.50 with a loss of -0.44% percent or -33.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,400.45   with a loss of  -0.27% percent or -14.74 point .  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,406.00  with a loss of -0.44% percent or -15.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The German economy expanded a seasonally-adjusted 0.3 percent on quarter in the three months to March 2018, following a 0.6 percent growth in the previous period and missing market expectations of 0.4 percent, a preliminary estimate showed. It was the slowest pace of expansion since the third quarter of 2016, when growth was also 0.3 percent.

Still, it was the 15th consecutive quarter of growth, making this Germany’s longest upswing since 1991. Positive contributions were made by domestic demand, driven by fixed capital formation, especially in construction but also in machinery and equipment. Also, households slightly increased their final consumption expenditure at the beginning of the year.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,944.59 with a loss of -1.49% percent or -422.03 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,785.8 with a loss of  -0.34% percent or  -9.44  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,747.46 with a loss of -0.32% percent or -121.77 point at 12:15 PM.
