DAX Futures Morning Update on 31 July

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,799.50 with a loss of -0.01% percent or -1.50 point .The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,648.00 up with +0.07% percent or +5.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,493.10 up with +0.034% percent or +1.88 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,512.00 up with +0.06% percent or +2.00 point.


Friday, foreign markets closed mixed to lower. The overnight Globex range in the S&P 500 futures (ESU18:CME) was 2839.00 to 2847.00 with 136,000 contracts traded. The first print off the 8:30 CT bell came in at 2842.50. Initially, the futures upticked after the open, and then got hit by an early sell program, pulling the ES down to 2838.50 as AMAZON sold off, and then down to 2834.00. After that, the ES traded a series of lower highs, and then made new lows down to 2731.25 at 9:50 CT. After a bounce up to the 2834.00 level the futures sold off down to a new low at 2824.50 at 11:10 CT, then down to 2816.75 at 11:40, and then down to 2808.75.


For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,817.61 up with +0.15%percent or +19.41 point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,709.98 up with +0.12% percent or +9.13 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,493.09 up with +0.034% percent or +1.87 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 25,306.83 with a loss of -0.57% percent or -144.23 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,802.60 with a loss of -0.58% percent or -16.22 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,630.00 with a loss of -1.39% percent or -107.42 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,553.72 up with +0.039% percent or+8.88 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,604.76 with a loss of -0.45% percent or  -128.37 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,876.40 up with +0.26% percent or +7.35  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,429.71 with a loss of – 0.17% percent or  -64.69  point at 12:15 PM.
