The DAX Futures is trading at 12,161.50  with a loss of -0.56% percent or -68.50 point .The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at  7,478.50  with a loss of  -0.18% percent or  -13.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,279.12 with  a loss of -0.050% percent or  -2.63 point .  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,348.00  with a loss of -0.48% percent or -16.00 point.


The DAX index has started the trading week with sharp losses. In the Monday session, the DAX is at 12,309, up 0.32% on the day. There are no German or eurozone events on the schedule.

Major central bankers have expressed alarm at the recent protectionist moves, and the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), an umbrella group for 60 central banks, weighed in on the crisis on Sunday. The BIS said that a global trading war is putting growth and financial stability at risk, and also warned that this could have negative side effects on the currency markets. At the same time, the BIS expressed support for the Federal Reserve raising interest rates gradually and for the ECB heading towards normalization as it winds up its massive asset program.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,181.43 with a loss of -0.43% percent or -52.91 point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,531.04  with a loss of  -0.081% percent or -6.12 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,275.04  with  a loss of  -0.12% percent or  -6.25 point. 


For the day the Dow is trading at 24,283.11 up  with +0.12% percent or  +30.31 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,723.06  up with +0.22% percent or  +5.99 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,561.63 up with +0.39% percent or +29.62 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,271.77  with a loss of – 0.31% percent or -70.23 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,362.09 with a loss of -1.80% percent or -519.31 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,813.18 with a loss of  -1.10% percent or  -31.33 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 35,252.78  with  a loss of -0.67% percent or  -237.26 point at 12:15 PM.
