DAX Futures Morning Update on 25 May

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,909.50 up with +0.51% percent or +65.00 point . The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,742.50 up with +0.28% percent or +21.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,525.50 up with  +0.20% percent or +11.00 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,517.00 up with +0.46%  percent or +16.00 point.


The German economy expanded a seasonally-adjusted 0.3 percent on quarter in the three months to March of 2018, following a 0.6 percent growth in the previous period and matching the preliminary estimate. It was the weakest pace of expansion since the September quarter of 2016.
Still, it marked the 15th straight quarter of growth, making this Germany’s longest upswing since 1991. Positive contribution to GDP mainly came from gross fixed capital formation (0.3 percentage points) and household consumption (0.2 percentage points). Meanwhile, government spending (-0.1 percentage points) and net exports (-0.1 percentage points) had a downward effect to GDP growth. In addition, changes in inventories substracted 0.1 percentage points from growth.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,855.09 with a loss of -0.94% percent or  -121.75 point. the FTSE 100 closed at 7,716.74 with  a loss of  -0.92% percent or  -71.70 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,548.45 with a loss of  -0.31% percent or  -17.40 point.


For the day the Dow is trading at 24,811.76  with a loss of -0.30% percent or -75.05 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,727.76 with a loss of  -0.20% percent or -5.53 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,424.43  with a loss of -0.021% percent or  -1.53 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,450.79 up with +0.061% percent or +13.78 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 30,605.04 with a loss of -0.51% percent or  -155.37 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,141.30 with a loss of  -0.42% percent or  -13.35 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 34,814.32   up with +0.44%  percent or  +151.21  point at 12:15 PM.
