Dax Futures Updates

The benchmark DAX experienced an increase of 107.50 points, reflecting a rise of 0.45%, reaching a level of 23,987.13 recently. The index had declined to 23,741.00 earlier in the session. Following a sluggish beginning and a decline to diminished levels, the German market rebounded and entered positive territory on Wednesday morning, buoyed by some relief regarding tariffs after the U.S. facilitated patient access to discounted prescription drugs via a new federal platform.

The initial decline can be attributed to the government shutdown in the United States, which occurred after the Senate was unable to approve a short-term spending bill. Merck is experiencing a 6.5% increase, supported by the company’s announcement regarding the positive outcomes of its Phase 3 HYPERION trial for the drug WINREVAIR. Where as –

  • Siemens Healthineers is experiencing an increase of nearly 2%.
  • Rheinmetall is experiencing a decline of approximately 2.5%.
  • Brenntag, Siemens Energy, and Adidas have experienced an increase of 2.5 to 2.75%.
  • Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Zalando, Bayer, Porsche Automobil Holding, Qiagen,
    Siemens, Henkel, and Symrise have experienced an increase ranging from 1% to 1.8%.
  • Fresenius, MTU Aero Engines, and Scout24 have experienced declines ranging
    from 0.8% to 1.25%. SAP is experiencing a slight decline.

On the economic front, data indicated that the HCOB Germany Manufacturing PMI was revised upward to 49.5 in September 2025 from a preliminary reading of 48.5, compared to 49.8 in August, suggesting that the manufacturing sector is experiencing nearly stagnant conditions. Eurostat’s flash estimate indicated that inflation in the Eurozone accelerated in September, driven by increases in services and food prices. In September, inflation increased to 2.2%, aligning with expectations, up from 2% in August. Meanwhile, core inflation remained unchanged at 2.3%. In September, the harmonized index of consumer prices experienced a modest increase of 0.1% on a monthly basis.
