FTSE Futures Update : 06 June. 2022

The DAX Futures is trading at 14,558.5 up with +0.40% percent  +57.6 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,604.50 with +0.77% percent or +58.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 6,478.50 with a loss of -0.19% percent or -12.50 point.The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,786.00 with +0.61% percent or +23.00 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The S&P Global Germany Composite PMI was revised lower to 53.7 in May of 2022 from a preliminary of 54.6, pointing to the smallest albeit robust expansion in private sector activity so far this year. The services sector slowed (55 vs 57.6 in April) while manufacturing activity picked up slightly (54.8 vs 54.6). Overall inflows of new business showed the slowest rise for five months, partly reflecting a drag from falling demand for manufacturing goods (particularly from abroad). Employment remained a bright spot, rising strongly and across both monitored sectors. This was despite generally subdued business confidence towards the outlook. On the price front, data showed a further sharp rise in average charges for goods and services, albeit with the rate of increase easing from April’s record. Underlying cost inflation also came down slightly but remained elevated.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 14,460.09  with a loss of –0.17% percent or -25.08 point.the FTSE 100 closed at 7,532.95  with a loss of  –0.98% percent or –74.71  point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 6,485.30 with a loss of  –0.23% percent or -15.14 point.

 

 

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 32,899.70  with a loss of –1.05% percent or ?348.58  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 4,108.54 with a loss of  –1.63% percent or -68.28    point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 12,012.73 with a loss of –2.47% percent or -304.16  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,955.84 up with 0.70% percent or +194.27   point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 21,340.75 up with +1.23% percent or +258.62  point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,222.33 up with +0.84% percent or +26.87  point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 55,541.84  with a loss of –0.41% percent or ?227.39  point at 12:15 PM.
