The DAX Futures is trading at 15,351.50 with +0.37% or +57.00 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,566.80 up with +0.44% percent or +33.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 7,054.50 with +0.67% percent or +47.00 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 4,155.00 up with +0.41% percent or +17.00 point.

 

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Germany’s benchmark Bund yield edged down to around 0.22% on Tuesday from a 3-year high of 0.24% after the European Central Bank chief Christine Lagarde said on Monday that inflation in the Eurozone is set to fall back and could stabilize around 2% and that any adjustment to policy will be gradual. Bets the European Central Bank will start raising interest rates this year have grown sharply since the last monetary policy meeting, when the ECB President declined to rule out an interest rate rise this year saying the bank would assess conditions very carefully and there were “no pledges without conditionalities”. Since then, several ECB officials argued that the first move will be to speed up an exit from the bond-buying scheme. During the weekend, ECB Governing Council Member Knot said he expects a 25bps interest-rate increase as early as in the fourth quarter.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 27,610.80 up with +1.20% percent or +326.28  point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,811.33 up with +1.98% percent or +481.84 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,475.39 up with +0.66% percent or +22.76    point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 58,212.31  up with +0.70% percent or +403.73   point at 12:15 PM.
