The DAX Futures is trading at 15,517.00  with a loss of -2.54% or -404.50 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,141.00 with a loss of -2.29% percent or -167.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 7,069.50 with +0.50% percent or ++35.00 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 4,160.00 with a loss of -2.99% percent or -128.00 point.

 

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Import prices in Germany surged 21.7% year-on-year in October of 2021, a new fresh high since January of 1980 and beating market consensus of a 19.6% rise, after a 17.7% growth in the previous month, mainly due to a surge in energy prices, and a low base effect from last year. Energy prices jumped 141.0%, mainly due to natural gas (193.9%), as well as crude oil (105.9%). Meanwhile, intermediate goods rose 22.1% from last year, with upward pressure coming from textile (7.6%), chemicals (29.4%). On a monthly basis, import prices advanced 3.8%, also beating expectations of 2.1%.
