Germany increased 10.7 percent year-on-year in June of 2021, the biggest rise since October 1981, following a 9.7 percent gain in April, amid a low base effect from last year. Biggest upward pressure came from cost of wholesale petroleum products (45.8 percent), scrap and residual materials (77.6 percent) and ores, metals and semi-finished products (54.2 percent). Other increases were also seen for raw and sawn timber (48.4 percent) and grain, raw tobacco, seeds and animal feed (26.9 percent).
