DAX Futures Morning Update on 16 July 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,384.00 with a loss of -0.09% percent or -11.50 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,470.00  with a loss of -0.11% percent or -8.50 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,578.21  up with +0.096% percent or +5.35 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,494.00  with a loss of -0.11% percent or -4.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Goods prices increased 1.5 percent in June, slower than 1.8 percent in the prior month, as a slowdown in energy inflation offset a pick up in food inflation. Gains were also recorded for other goods such as newspapers and periodicals (4.6 percent) and tobacco products (3.4 percent). However, prices were down for some goods such as telephones (-6.9 percent) and consumer electronics (-6.1 percent).

Food costs increased 1.2 percent, compared to a 0.9 percent rise in May, as vegetable prices increased substantially (9.6 percent). Price rises were also recorded for fish, fish products and seafood (3.0 percent), meat and meat products (2.8 percent), and bread and cereals (2.2 percent). In contrast, prices fell considerably for edible fats and oils (-9.3 percent) and fruit (-6.1 percent).

For the day the Dow is trading at 27,359.16  up with +0.099% percent or +27.13 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 3,014.30 up with +0.018% percent or +0.53 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,258.19 up with +0.17% percent or +14.04 point.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,582.83 up with +0.098% percent or +32.49 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,937.62  with a loss of -0.16% percent or -4.57 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,037.89  up with +0.36% percent or +141.18 point at 12:15 PM.
