DAX Futures Morning Update on 01 May 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,406.60 up with +0.52% percent or +64.60 point. The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,402.50  up with +0.42% percent or +31.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,556.50  up with +0.41% percent or +22.50 point. The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,464.00 up with +0.70% percent or +24.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Wall Street stocks closed mostly higher on Tuesday as investors pushed the S&P 500 to a fresh high for the third straight session ahead of the US central bank’s policy meeting on Wednesday.

The Dow closed 38 points higher as the Federal Reserve kicked off its two-day policy meeting on Tuesday and although no changes in policy were anticipated there was an ongoing debate as to whether a rate cut was in the cards for later in the year.

Polls by Reuters and Bloomberg showed few economists anticipating such a move, but Fed funds futures were pricing in just under 70% odds of a cut at the December FOMC.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,344.08  up with +0.13% percent or +16.06 point. the FTSE 100 closed at 7,418.22   with a loss of -0.30% percent or -22.44 point. France’s CAC  40 closed at 5,586.41  up with +0.097% percent or +5.44 point. 

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,592.91   up with +0.15% percent or +38.52 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,945.83 up with +0.095% percent or +2.80 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,095.39  wilth  a loss of -0.81% percent or -66.47 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 22,258.73 with a loss of -0.22% percent or -48.85 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 29,699.11  with a loss of -0.65% percent or -193.70   point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,078.34  up with +0.52% percent or +15.84 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 39,031.55  with a loss of -0.092% percent or -35.78 point at 12:15 PM.
