DAX Futures Morning Update on 11 February 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 10,945.80  up with +0.04% percent or +4.30 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,043.80  with a loss of -0.05% percent or -3.60 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 4,959.50  with 0.00% percent or 0.00 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,145.50  with 0.00% percent or 0.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

Exports slumped 4.5 percent from a year earlier to EUR 96.1 billion in December, as sales to the EU declined 4.6 percent to EUR 55.2 billion, in particular Euro area (-4.1 percent to EUR 35.3 percent) and non-Euro area countries (-5.5 percent to EUR 19.9 percent). In addition, exports to countries outside the EU dropped 4.3 percent to EUR 40.9 billion.
Meanwhile, imports were nearly unchanged at EUR 82.1 billion. Purchases from the EU went up 1.2 percent to EUR 47.3 billion, driven by imports from the Euro area (3 percent to EUR 31.4 billion) while there were declines in imports from non-Euro area countries (-2.1 percent to EUR 15.9 billion). Also, imports from countries outside the EU fell 1.6 percent to EUR 34.8 billion.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 20,333.17   with a loss of -2.01% percent or -418.11 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,102.03  up with +0.56% percent or +155.71 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,652.04 up with +1.29% percent or +33.81 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 36,418.85  with a loss of -0.35% percent or -127.63 point at 12:15 PM.
