DAX Futures Morning Update on 19 September

The DAX Futures is trading at 112,175.50 up  with +0.26% percent or +31.50point . The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,275.80 up with  +0.09% percent or  +6.30 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,354.00 with  a loss of -0.05% percent or -2.50 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,343.00 up with  +0.15% percent or +5.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The week before last the DAX broke fairly significant support just around the 12100-level, but found a low just a few days later. This has the level once viewed as support now a level of resistance. It’s come into play each of the past four sessions, with no success so far in recapturing it (but trying now).

Should we see the market sustain above resistance on a daily closing basis, then momentum on the break could carry it higher. It will still be an uphill battle, though, as the trend during recent months stays negative.

For the day Germany’s DAX closed at 12,157.67  up  with +0.51%  percent or +61.26 point.the FTSE 100 closed at  7,300.23 with  a loss of  -0.026% percent or  -1.87 point. France’s CAC 40 closed at 5,363.79 up with +0.28% percent or +14.92 point. 

WORLD MARKETS

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,246.96  up with +0.71% percent or +184.84 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,904.31  up with  +0.54% percent or +15.51 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,956.11  up with +0.76% percent or +60.32 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 23,672.52 up with +1.08% percent or +251.98 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 27,389.72  up with +1.13% percent or  +305.06 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,730.09  up with +1.12% percent or  +30.14 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,323.79 up with 0.089%  percent or +33.12  point at 12:15 PM.
