DAX Futures Morning Update on 11 July

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,435.00 with  a loss of -1.31% percent or -165.00 point . The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at 7,539.00  with a loss of  -1.27% percent or  -97.00 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,378.75  with  a loss of -1.02% percent or -55.60 point . The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures is trading at 3,429.00 with a loss of -1.07% percent or -37.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

German ZEW Economic Sentiment dropped to -24.7, a sharper drop than expected. The forecast stood at -17.9 points. Eurozone ZEW Economic Sentiment followed a similar trend, dropping to -18.7 points. This reading was weaker than the estimate of -13.2 points.

The eurozone could be headed into headwinds in the second half of 2018, according to the well-respected ZEW Economic Sentiment indicators. The German and eurozone releases both dropped to their lowest levels since August 2012. The surveys indicate the views of financial experts, who are clearly concerned about economic sentiment. Internal divisions over migration and fears over a full-blown global trade war have investors worried that the eurozone outlook could worsen, which would likely send European equity markets to lower ground.

For the day the Dow is trading at 24,919.66 up with +0.58% percent or +143.07 point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,793.84 up with +0.35% percent or +9.67 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 7,759.20 up with +0.039% percent or  +3.00 point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,932.21  with a loss of  -1.19% percent or -264.68 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 28,293.27 with a loss of -1.36% percent or  -388.98 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 2,777.77 with a loss of -1.76% percent or -49.85 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 36,324.02 up with +0.23% percent or  +84.40 point at 12:15 PM.
