DAX Futures Morning Update on 09 September 2019

The DAX Futures is trading at 12,206.50 up with +0.23% percent or +27.60 point.The FTSE 100 Futures is trading at  7,321.50 up with +0.32% percent or +23.10 point. The CAC 40 Futures is trading at 5,606.00  up with +0.27% percent or +15.00 point.  The EURO Stoxx 50 Futures trading at 3,494.00 up with +0.23% percent or +8.00 point.

TODAY’S FACTORS AND EVENTS

The German trade surplus widened to EUR 21.4 billion in July 2019 from EUR 16.4 billion in the same month a year earlier. This was the largest trade surplus since March, as exports rose while imports fell.

Exports increased 3.8 percent year-on-year to EUR 115.2 billion in July. Exports to countries outside the EU jumped 9.8 percent to EUR 51.0 billion. Conversely, sales to the EU dropped 0.5 percent to EUR 64.2 billion, of which Euro area (-0.2 percent to EUR 41.3 billion) and non-Euro area countries (-1.1 percent to EUR 22.9 billion).

Imports dropped 0.9 percent to EUR 93.7 billion. Purchases from the EU decreased 1.6 percent to EUR 52.8 billion, of which Euro area (-3.4 percent to EUR 34.9 billion) and non-Euro area countries (2.0 percent to EUR 18.0 billion). Also, arrivals from countries outside the EU edged down 0.1 percent to EUR 40.9 billion.

For the day the Dow is trading at 26,797.46 up with +0.26% percent or +69.31  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,978.71 up with +0.091% percent or +2.71 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 8,103.07 with a loss of –0.17% percent or –13.75  point.

In other parts of world, Japan’s Nikkei 225 is trading at 21,318.42 up  with +0.56% percent or +118.85 point. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 26,692.69 up with +0.0072% percent or +1.93 point. China’s Shanghai Composite is trading at 3,024.74 up with +0.84% percent or +25.14 point. India’s BSE Sensex is trading at 37,210.27 up with +0.62% percent or +228.50 point at 12:15 PM.
